Taijiquan Core-principles
with Sam Masich
Sam returns to the Kootenays after twenty years!
The art of taijiquan (aka. tai chi, t'ai-chi ch'uan) combines form and principle in a way that brings a multitude of benefits and surprises to the practitioner. Sometimes, however, the way these concepts and exercises are described by the past masters are somewhat confusing for learners—even enigmatic.
While maintaining a clear reference to original language and methods used within the long taijiquan tradition, Sam Masich uses descriptive terms and relatable approaches that today's student can apply directly. Through practice and explanation learn what is meant by terms such as 'energy,' 'hip-track,' 'movement tendency,' 'deep-sticking,' and 'movement by relaxation.'
